Material Properties

POM (also known as Acetal or by the brand name Delrin®) is one of the most widely used engineering plastics. It combines high mechanical strength with excellent dimensional stability and low moisture absorption.

Available in both homopolymer (POM-H) and copolymer (POM-C) grades, POM offers excellent machinability and is ideal for high-precision components requiring tight tolerances.

  • Excellent dimensional stability and low creep
  • Low friction coefficient and self-lubricating
  • High mechanical strength and stiffness
  • Excellent machinability to tight tolerances
  • Good resistance to solvents and fuels
