Ethylene Chlorotrifluoroethylene (Halar®)
ECTFE combines the chemical resistance of fluoropolymers with significantly better mechanical properties, impact strength, and abrasion resistance. Ideal for chemical processing and semiconductor applications.
ECTFE (sold as Halar®) is a partially fluorinated polymer that offers an excellent balance of chemical resistance, mechanical strength, and processability. It provides better impact resistance and abrasion resistance than most other fluoropolymers.
ECTFE maintains its properties across a wide temperature range and offers excellent resistance to permeation, making it ideal for tank linings, piping, and protective coatings in corrosive environments.
