Polychlorotrifluoroethylene (Kel-F®)
PCTFE offers the lowest moisture and gas permeability of any plastic, combined with outstanding cryogenic performance down to -240°C. Essential for aerospace seals and high-purity applications.
PCTFE (sold as Kel-F® and Neoflon®) is a unique fluoropolymer with the lowest moisture vapor transmission rate of any plastic. It maintains excellent mechanical properties from cryogenic temperatures to +150°C.
Unlike PTFE, PCTFE is rigid and non-creeping, making it ideal for precision seals in aerospace, cryogenic, and high-purity applications where dimensional stability is critical.
