Outstanding abrasion resistance, elasticity, and load-bearing capacity
Polyurethane (PUR) combines the elasticity of rubber with significantly higher abrasion resistance and mechanical strength. Available in a wide hardness range from soft-elastic to semi-rigid, PUR is the material of choice for demanding wear and impact applications.
Polyurethane elastomers bridge the gap between conventional rubber and rigid plastics. They deliver exceptional abrasion resistance — often 3 to 5 times better than natural rubber — while maintaining high elasticity and resilience under repeated compression and impact loading.
PUR can be formulated across a wide hardness range from 30 Shore A (soft, rubber-like) to 75 Shore D (semi-rigid). Our standard U-series covers 80 Shore A to 75 Shore B, suitable for most industrial bearing, bushing, and wear applications.
| Density | 1.05 – 1.25 g/cm³ |
| Hardness Range | 30 – 95 Shore A |
| Tensile Strength | 20 – 60 MPa |
| Elongation at Break | 300 – 700% |

PUR’s combination of elasticity, abrasion resistance, and load capacity makes it ideal for components that must absorb impact, reduce noise, or resist heavy wear.
Load-bearing bushings, wear rings, and dampening elements in machinery, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment.
Drive wheels, guide rollers, and transport rollers with excellent floor protection and load distribution.
Hydraulic seals, rod scrapers, and wiper rings in cylinders and pneumatic systems.
