Machined and Convoluted PTFE Bellows
PTFE bellows are flexible, chemically inert connectors used to compensate for movement, vibration, expansion and misalignment in piping, valves and equipment handling aggressive chemicals. Fully machined from virgin PTFE or formed from PTFE tube, they combine universal chemical resistance with high-temperature performance.
PTFE bellows are manufactured either by precision machining from solid virgin PTFE or by thermoforming from PTFE tube. The convoluted wall provides axial, lateral and angular flexibility while maintaining a completely inert flow path — PTFE is chemically unaffected by virtually every industrial chemical, acid, solvent and base.
They are a preferred solution in chemical dosing pumps, valves, sample lines and semiconductor process equipment where elastomer or metal alternatives cannot survive. Both stock and fully custom geometries are supplied.
