Overview

Carbon fiber yarn impregnated with PTFE and graphite. High thermal conductivity dissipates heat from the stuffing box — runs cooler than aramid at sustained high temperatures. Strong, dimensionally stable and resistant to extrusion. Good general-purpose choice when temperatures exceed standard PTFE limits but graphite is unsuitable.
