Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is the archetypal fluoropolymer, with an almost unlimited chemical resistance and the lowest coefficient of friction of any solid polymer. It is stable from cryogenic temperatures up to +260 °C continuous, does not absorb moisture and is physiologically inert. PTFE is non-flammable, an excellent electrical insulator and self-lubricating, making it the default sealing and sliding material in chemical plants, food industry and high-temperature applications. It is offered virgin and in filled grades (glass, carbon, bronze) and processed by machining from pressed-and-sintered stock shapes.
Seals, gaskets, diaphragms, bushings, insulators, chemical and food industry parts, lining and sliding surfaces.
