Polyoxymethylene copolymer (POM-C), also known as acetal copolymer, is a highly crystalline engineering plastic that combines high stiffness, excellent dimensional stability and good fatigue resistance. It machines exceptionally well to tight tolerances and has a smooth, shiny finish, making it the most popular choice for precision mechanical parts. POM-C has better resistance to hot water and alkaline media than POM-H homopolymer and very low moisture absorption. It is widely used in food processing, pneumatics and precision engineering where close tolerances must be maintained.
