Polysulfone (Udel®)
PSU offers excellent hydrolysis resistance, high heat deflection temperature, and inherent flame retardancy. FDA and NSF compliant for medical, food, and hot water applications.
PSU (sold as Udel®) is an amorphous thermoplastic known for its excellent resistance to hot water and steam. It maintains mechanical properties through repeated steam sterilization cycles, making it ideal for medical and food processing applications.
PSU offers a unique combination of toughness, rigidity, and high heat deflection temperature while remaining transparent with a slight amber tint.
