Material Properties

Polyamide (PA), commonly known as Nylon, is a family of engineering thermoplastics characterized by excellent mechanical properties and wear resistance. It offers a unique combination of strength, toughness, and fatigue resistance.

Different grades serve different needs: PA6 offers good all-round properties, PA66 provides higher heat resistance and rigidity, while PA12 excels in dimensional stability and chemical resistance.

  • Outstanding wear and abrasion resistance
  • High mechanical strength and toughness
  • Good fatigue and impact resistance
  • Self-lubricating properties
  • Resistant to oils, greases, and many chemicals

Applications

PA's excellent balance of properties makes it one of the most widely used engineering plastics for mechanical and wear-resistant components.

Gears & Rollers

High-load gears, pulleys, and rollers for mechanical power transmission systems.

Bearings & Bushings

Plain bearings and bushings requiring high wear resistance and shock absorption.

Wear Strips & Guides

Conveyor guides, chain guides, and wear strips in material handling systems.

Automotive

Clips, fasteners, cable ties, and under-hood components in vehicles.

Food Industry

FDA-compliant conveyor components, scrapers, and food processing parts.

Textile Machinery

Bobbins, shuttles, and wear components in textile manufacturing equipment.

Available Forms

We supply PA in multiple grades (PA6, PA66, PA12) including cast and extruded versions, oil-filled, MoS2-filled, and glass-reinforced variants.
